However, as we all know, Brindi is not yet free. The judge, perhaps seeking to give HRM some kind of concession, created obstacles to getting her home that are not very clear. As you all know, I have already promised to do training (with her, not separately, as the judge thinks has to happen); I have long since fenced off the house entrances and build a secure outdoor run from which no dog can escape. I asked HRM to approve it over a year ago; now the judge has directed the city to do so. it remains to be seen what they will say.

The conditions of training imposed by the judge are the main source of confusion. It’s why I’ve been sleeping for the past two days, while my brain tries once again to understand the situation. I want to do the training; it was my offer from the start, and I was already in the process of it at the time they took brindi. I am just confused about how it can be done under the present constraints- separately, with Brindi in the pound and without being allowed visits… ?? But when I asked about this in court, the judge passed all decision power to the trainer – who has to be approved by HRM (?). With luck, I will be able to sort things out, hopefully long before August!!
